The Hostel Split Mediterranean House is situated in a typical Mediterranean building that breaths history. It is located in the heart of Split’s historic centre, less than 2 minutes walk from the famous palace of the Roman emperor Diocletian.

The material that it is made of is predominantly stone—part of it comes from the ruins of a nearby medieval church, a practice that was common in the late middle ages.

The hostel court

Much like this whole part of the old city, the house itself invites you to feel the buzz of the Mediterranean spirit.

Front view

The frontage of the hostel shows interesting details, such as the wall fragments with chiseled cross and the church columns framing the windows on the 2nd floor.
